Rosetta spacecraft to place lander on comet before December

The Rosetta spacecraft is a currently active mission by the European Space Agency, with the objective of rendezvousing with the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, and studying it, and placing a lander (called Philae) on the surface of the comet.

This bet resolves as Yes if the Philae module successfully lands on the comet surface before December 2014.
Landing is considered successful if the module comes to a halt on the comet surface and transmits data.
