Netflix will accept Bitcoin before June
Max Kaiser is an irrelevant idiot.
That aside, the bet is that Netflix will accept Bitcoin before June 1st, 2014. Acceptance via an official third party will be sufficient for closure at Yes.
Bet will close upon Netflix’ demonstrated acceptance of BTC or their official announcement to this effect.

"Acceptance via an official third party"
This part I don’t like- what constitutes as official?
What if some hack buys up a bunch of netflix giftcards – or even if Gyft starts selling Netflix giftcards?
I wouldnt count that as Netflix accepting bitcoin.
If official 3rd party means Bitpay or Coinbase then I understand that. Can admin please clarify?

I would think that that would mean that Netflix officially recognizes/announces the third party as a payment channel.

I don’t like it either Joes, but the unescapable fact is that these days any company outsources payment services, dollars or Bitcoin.
