If it DOES pass 4000 BEFORE passing 400 then it DID do it and therefore YES it DID do it. If it does NOT pass 4000 BEFORE passing 400 then it did NOT do it and therefore NO it did NOT do it.

#2856, maybe that is not the intention of the bet, but logically that is exactly what it implies. #2870 If it hits 4000 and then fails to go below 400, then how could you say that the statement "will rise past $4000 before it falls below $400" is true. If I said "I went to the bathroom before I washed my hands", yet I never washed my hands, then my statement was false.
