If Hillary Rodham Clinton, currently running for president of the U.S.A., gets formally indicted on or before January 1st 2017, this bet resolves as YES.

Should the event occur prior to the January 1st 2017 deadline, betting will close immediately. All bets received (where "received" means "included in a block") after betting closes will be refunded, minus BitBet's fee.

    FBI Director stated that 1) it is a crime to knowingly or unknowingly mishandle classified information. 2) Clinton mishandled 110 classified emails, 3 Top Secret. 3) He doesn't believe the prosecutor will submit the case (indict her). 4) He recommends no indictment, in part, because a) they can't prove she did it on purpose (tho, earlier in the speech he said intent didn't matter??), and b) there was no direct evidence her emai was hacked. c) There is direct evidence people who emailed her had their emails hacked.

    If Putin releases any of the classified emails, she will likely be indicted.

    Really interesting turn of events for this bet! FBI recommendation doesn't mean she won't be indicted, but it certainly makes it a lot less likely.

    I think if Putin releases the emails they can just say that others besides her were hacked, and besides she loves america!

    I think the system is just going to protect itself until it destroys whatever credibility it has left.

    Hillary Clinton is now, 100% officially, running for her life, quite literally!

    If she loses the Presidential election, she goes to the Fed pen for a very, very long time!

    If she wins, she will, of course, pardon herself on the first day in office. And YES! There is a precedent for that: "Marbury v. Madison" (1803).

    My problem with this bet is that Trump won't be acting President until January 20, 2017.

    It sucks to be on the right side of history and off by 19 days :-/

    An indictment is more likely on the Clinton Foundation scandals - real money involved there and the FBI hasn't yet commented on that investigation. All you need is a single email as a smoking gun and you've got her.
